Become a Mystery Shopper

What is Mystery Shopping - the terms Researcher, Mystery Shopper, Mystery Consumer and Phantom Shopper, are synonyms of Mystery Shopping. You pose as a customer or potential customer for our clients. As a Mystery Shopper, you will record a company’s service levels or sales efforts and then complete a detailed questionnaire after doing so.

We are providing a structure for something you already know how to do – be a customer! All Mystery Shoppers are Independent Contractors who work on a casual, part-time basis. This means that Consumer Connection does not deduct income tax or other contributions from your earnings.

It is important to not draw unnecessary attention to yourself while you are conducting Shops. You must always be polite, friendly and never take your service interaction personally. You are to record your experience objectively, never subjectively. This means your personal feelings and ideas are never included in the questionnaire. The information that you record on the questionnaire will be used at a managerial level to make important decisions. For this reason, you must be fair, accurate and consistent in your observations

Do I Need Experience?

Mystery Shopping experience is not required to be assigned work from Consumer Connection. However, if you have Mystery Shopped before, please give a brief description of the work you did and who you worked for.
